How transcription works
Latent uses on-device speech recognition powered by WhisperKit to transcribe recordings offline. Your audio is not uploaded to a server.
Supported languages
Latent can transcribe many languages supported by the underlying speech model, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, and more.
Summaries
On devices that support Apple Intelligence, Latent can use Apple's on-device Foundation Models for summaries and titles. Unsupported devices use a local fallback.
Purchases
Latent is a paid app with one-time purchase pricing. There are no subscriptions, ads, accounts, or in-app purchases.
