Latent is a voice recording, transcription, and summary app that prioritizes your privacy. Recording, transcription, and summaries are processed on your device. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.

What stays on your device

• Audio recordings stored locally on your device.
• Transcripts generated offline on device.
• Summaries and titles generated on device using Apple Intelligence when available, with a local fallback on unsupported devices.
• Recording metadata such as titles, durations, timestamps, and language labels.

What we do not collect

• No accounts, names, email addresses, or Apple ID information.
• No audio uploads.
• No transcript or summary uploads.
• No location data.
• No analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking SDKs.

Third-party services

Latent uses Apple frameworks and StoreKit for app purchase handling. Purchases are processed by Apple. Latent does not run its own account system and does not receive your payment details.

Data retention

Latent stores your recordings, transcripts, summaries, and metadata locally on your device until you delete them. We do not retain user recording content on our servers.

Children's privacy

Latent is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
